Position Summary

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role supports production by ensuring materials are delivered on time to the line and handling all required documentation and quality checks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a forklift.

  • Ensure production lines are supplied with materials in a timely manner.

  • Perform quality inspections and report any defects to the quality lead.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and notify management of any discrepancies.

  • Complete all required documentation before the end of each shift.

  • Comply with all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Valid forklift license (must be able to provide proof and pass a practical test).

  • Minimum 2 year of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Able to work 5–6 days per week (including Saturdays as needed).

  • Flexible to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons, midnights) and up to 12-hour shifts.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

  • Physically capable of bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.

  • Own transportation required (location not on a bus route).

  • Must have safety shoes, safety glasses, and a mask.
