Canadian Executive Search Group (USA), a division of Arrow Workforce Solutions, is now hiring experienced Warehouse Supervisor for Shipping and Receiving for our client in the automotive industry located in Columbia, TN

Location: Columbia, TN

Start date: As Soon As Possible

Pay rate:

• 1st shift – $45,000-50,000 DOE

Shift hours:

• 1st shift – Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays) 6am-5:30pm (45 hrs. minimum weekly)

Description:

We are seeking a hands-on Shipping & Receiving Department Supervisor to lead daily operations within our warehouse environment. This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced setting, can manage a small team, and is comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

This is not a desk job – you will be actively involved in day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality across the department.

Responsibilities:

• Train shipping and receiving clerks on various equipment and processes
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Ensure pull lists are prepared and completed accurately
• Coordinate shipments to meet customer deadlines and shipping schedules
• Enforce quality SOPs and ensure compliance across the team
• Monitor employee productivity and time management
• Complete daily and weekly time corrections in KRONOS
• Maintain and enforce 5S standards within the department
• Conduct walkthroughs on load lists to support production timelines
• Promote and enforce a safe work environment
• Track and achieve department KPIs
• Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs on equipment
• Hold employees accountable through coaching and disciplinary actions when needed
• Collaborate with customer service to meet customer requirements
• Participate in daily and weekly meetings
• Learn and operate all machinery within the department

Work Environment:

• Must not be allergic to fiberglass or insulation
• Hot in the summer and cold in the winter
• Physical, hands-on role you will get dirty
• Managing a team of approximately 2–4 employees

Requirements:

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse supervision
• Forklift experience (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Experience with timekeeping systems (KRONOS preferred)
• Knowledge of 5S and quality processes
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable with consistent attendance
• Great attitude/attendance
• Stable work history
